Position Overview

The Service Technician I provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC.
2. Communicate repair status updates with customers and branch office.
3. Order parts as needed and communicate with the branch.
4. Complete service calls accurately and promptly.
5. Audit truck stock for required parts.
6. Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to standards and safety protocols.
7. Meet on-call requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of applicable experience in commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; electrical, mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License or CFESA certification is a plus but not required.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record.

Work Environment

• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds frequently; more with assistance.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and ladder use.
• Extensive daily travel to work sites.
• Exposure to hot grease and high-temperature environments.
• On-call weekend rotation.
