Nextech is the leading HVAC/R service provider in the United States, delivering expert repairs, maintenance, and installations for commercial clients. As a Nextech HVAC/R Technician, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain systems and will be the trusted technical advisor for customers.

You’ll work hands-on with electrical and mechanical components, document every service on iPads, and coordinate with dispatch for timely scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent HVAC/R field technician experience.
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans.
• Comfort with mobile apps and technology.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nextech HVAC/R Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, high‑quality service to commercial clients. From troubleshooting to repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance, you’ll be the expert our customers trust.

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
• Perform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after‑hours on‑call rotations
• Accurately document all service details using company‑provided iPads
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards

Compensation

Min Compensation: USD $24.00/Hr.

Max Compensation: USD $50.00/Hr.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician; may require a Journeyman's License in some states
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
• Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed

Physical Requirements

• Safely work at heights using ladders up to 28–32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
• Lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders, up to 100 lbs
• Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks
• Maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity
• Stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day
• Use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously
• Operate work‑related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers
• Travel to customer sites as needed
• Occasionally work in an office environment
• Follow all applicable safety procedures
