Job summary

ATI in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an instructor to deliver hands-on HVAC instruction at our campus. The role focuses on engaging students with practical training and active learning methods, preparing them for successful careers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 5+ years HVAC experience, EPA Certifications, and familiarity with distance learning or LMS. ATI offers competitive compensation and a strong benefits package.

Good Faith Pay Range: In accordance withVirginia law, the good-faithpay range for this position is $56,680-$67,600 per year . Actual compensation will bedeterminedbased on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, skills, and other legitimate business factors.

• Provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment.
• Employ instructional technology and active learning approaches in order to enhance the learning experience and achieve learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques.
• Participate in scheduled ATI activities.
• Stay current in subject matter through professional development.
• All other duties assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 or more years of recent work experience in the repair and/or installation of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with distance learning or learning management systems (LMS) preferred
• Current EPA Certifications. Other appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required).

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels
• Strong time management skills and detail-orientation
• Working knowledge of computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new computer software
• Experience with distance learning or learning management systems (LMS) preferred
