Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking an experienced HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic for CHA Cambridge Hospital. The role involves installation, operation, inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

You will respond to department service calls and work with minimal supervision, reporting to the HVAC Foreman. Work hours include 2:00pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am with rotating weekends and holidays, totaling 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade school certification or equivalent.
• Experienced HVAC mechanic/technician in building maintenance operations.
• Ability to perform installation, inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems.

Responsibilities

The Repairs and Maintenance department supports the safety and continuous daily operations by providing routine maintenance, inspections, alterations and repairs throughout the hospital.

Performs diversified installation, operation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair duties for the following systems: Heating; Ventilation; Air conditioning; Refrigeration; Related control systems. Responds to calls from hospital departments requesting immediate assistance for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration problems. Is able to work independently to make adjustments and repairs to mechanical system to provide the proper environment for the facility. Receives work instruction from HVAC Forman.
