Job summary

Dakref is seeking a competent HVAC/R Technician to perform service and installation tasks for industrial and commercial customers. The role requires working with a team to complete jobs efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate has a post-secondary HVAC/R program (2+ years) and at least three years of experience, with EPA refrigerant handling certification, strong communication skills, and a valid state license. Willingness to travel occasionally and adhere to safety policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; post-high school HVAC/R program of two or more years.
• Three or more years of HVAC/R experience, preferably as service or installation technician.
• Good reading, writing, and verbal skills; ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions.
• Ability to clearly communicate with customers, management, suppliers and co workers.
• Physical and sensory ability to perform duties under day-to-day operations.
• Active member of RSES pursuing certificate member status.
• Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the US EPA.
• Maintain HVAC/R skills via training, self-study, or workshops.
• Current and unblemished State vehicle operator's license; ability to operate company fleet vehicles safely.
• Knowledge of safety best practices and ability to work under time pressure and varied conditions.
• Occasional overnight travel or extended periods away from home.
• Ability to diagnose and fix refrigeration, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine HVAC/R service and installation activities with limited or no supervision on or off site.
• Serves as team member or leader on major HVAC/R service or installation jobs to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Conducts non-service work to support other HVAC/R activities.
• Operates, maintains and secures company vehicle as per policy.
• On-call after-hours duty when required.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
