Job summary

Dakota Refrigeration Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technician to perform service and installation tasks for industrial and commercial customers, with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or HVAC/R training, 3+ years of field experience, strong communication skills, EPA refrigerant handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two+ years HVAC/R post-secondary program.
• Three+ years HVAC/R experience, preferably service/installation.
• Strong reading/writing/verbal skills and ability to read manufacturers' instructions.
• Ability to communicate with customers, management, suppliers and coworkers.
• Must maintain EPA refrigerant handling certification.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Occasional travel and after-hours availability.
• Knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical, heating and air conditioning basics.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine HVAC/R service and installation with limited supervision.
• Lead or participate in major HVAC/R service/installation projects.
• Support other HVAC/R activities with non-service work.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle safely.
• Occasional on-call after-hours duty.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems.
