Job summary

Stewart's Shops in Vermont is seeking an experienced HVAC/R installer to support the facilities team with installation and maintenance of walk-in refrigeration and HVAC units.

This role requires Vermont licenses and EPA certifications, travel to job sites, and strong communication. A company vehicle is provided, with a Monday–Friday work week and on-call rotation; starting pay is $30–$40 per hour, plus health, vision and dental benefits and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Vermont Type S C3 License is required.
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification or ability to acquire within six months.
• Minimum of 5 years of service and installation experience.
• Experience with HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certificate.
• Vocational or Tech Training preferred.
• Electric and Plumbing experience preferred.
• Must be organized, a strong communicator, and self-motivated.
• Ability to travel to job sites with company vehicle provided.
• Mon-Fri with Rotational on-call coverage.

Stewart’s Shops is expanding in Vermont! We are a growing convenience store chain in New York and Vermont. We are looking to expand our HVAC/R installation team. Our Facilities Team provides support to our shops, rental properties, and district staff. The right candidate will work well under pressure in a team environment and be solutions focused. A company vehicle, tools, gauges, and uniforms are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of walk-in refrigeration and HVAC units.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair self-contained refrigerated equipment.

Requirements:

• Vermont Type S C3 License.
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
