Job summary

CoolSys Refrigeration and HVAC Systems is seeking a Service Tech 4 – HVAC in Birmingham, AL to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems. You will troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, guide junior technicians, and ensure efficient operation.

Requirements include 3–5 years in construction HVAC or related field, chiller experience, and a valid driver’s license. EPA certification and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience with trade/technical schooling.
• Must have passed Tech Skills level 4 with 80% or better.
• Valid EPA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems including troubleshooting complex issues.
• Guide junior technicians and ensure efficient system operation.
• Provide repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and process work orders.
