Job summary

Quantum Industrial Services in San Antonio, TX, is seeking senior-level HVAC/R technicians who take pride in their craft and own complex commercial/industrial systems.

You’ll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair RTUs, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration equipment, read schematics, and communicate clearly with customers. Eligible candidates hold EPA 608 and a clean driver’s license, and must be willing to be on-call.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Work on equipment such as RTUs, split systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Handle installs, startups, and system commissioning.
• Communicate clearly with customers on issues, repairs, and recommendations.
• Document work accurately (notes, photos, parts, quotes).
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Represent the company professionally on every job.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC/R systems
• Working on a range of equipment (RTUs, split systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, etc.)
• Performing preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Handling installs, startups, and system commissioning
• Communicating clearly with customers on issues, repairs, and recommendations
• Documenting work accurately (notes, photos, parts, quotes)
• Participating in an on-call rotation

Senior-level techs will also:

• Handle complex diagnostics independently
• Work on large/critical systems in industrial environments
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians

What You’ll Bring

• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with clean record

• Comfort working independently in the field
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Senior-Level Candidates:

• 5+ years commercial/industrial HVAC/R experience
• Strong experience with complex systems (chillers, boilers, low temp refrigeration, etc.)
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve problems without trial-and-error
