Qualifications

• Must possess EPA Section 608 certification or obtain within 60 days.
• HVAC-R mechanic experience and knowledge of HVAC-R principles and troubleshooting.
• Understand mechanical concepts.
• Ability to perform basic math and use trade-specific tools.
• Communicate professionally with university staff, faculty, students, guests, and contractors.
• Available for after-hours on-call duty on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and systems; perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and heating systems.
• Identify irrigation problems and report to supervisor.
• Perform PMs and light repairs at the CUB.
• Participate in on-call rotation for the Round Rock Facilities group.
• Complete work orders and log sheets.
• Operate university vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
