Budderfly is seeking an HVAC/R Service Assistant Technician to maintain and repair Budderfly HVAC units in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. The role requires hands-on technical work, controller checks, and the ability to travel within the region. You will be part of a fast-growing team focused on energy-saving solutions.

We expect a technical school graduate with HVAC/R experience, strong safety mindset, and good communication skills. OT opportunities and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R experience with controls preferred.
• Technical training or technical diploma required.
• Ability to detect issues early and prevent failures.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Budderfly HVAC/R units across the region.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC/R systems.
• Perform commissioning checks and adjust controllers.
• Replace filters, clean coils, and inspect belts as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and document work in logs.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal standards and safety rules.
• Assist customers and coordinate with the team.
