Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings.

The role requires diagnosing HVAC/R equipment, reading schematics/blueprints, and using computer-based technology. Candidates should have experience with electrical components and safety practices, and be able to respond to emergency service calls as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in HVAC/R mechanic work including installation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning equipment.
Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems and components.
Willingness to learn and effectively utilize computer-based technology.
Must be able to perform duties of the position.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment per the preventive maintenance program.
Install and startup HVAC equipment as needed.
Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
Communicate with customers regarding tasking, issues, and impacts.
Report job progress and material/labor requirements to the HVAC Service Manager.
