Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel, an EMCOR Group company, seeks an HVAC/R Service Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role includes diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment, reading schematics and blueprints, and utilizing computer-based technology.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R mechanic experience including installation and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems.
• Computer experience and willingness to learn computer-based tech.
• Proficiency in electrical safety procedures and PPE selection.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
• Install and startup various HVAC equipment as part of projects.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
• Communicate with customers regarding tasks, issues, or impacts.
• Advise the HVAC Service Manager on progress, parts, and labor needs.
• Order replacement parts as required.
• Work with electrical components from disconnect to equipment.
• Document hours, tasks, materials, and processes thoroughly.
