Job summary

Leoforce in Oakland is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will design, develop and test mechanical refrigeration components, applying CAD (SolidWorks, Creo) and controls integration to create reliable systems.

You will perform thermal analyses, select compressors, and ensure UL compliance across products. The ideal candidate has 2–7 years in production roles, strong communication, and a drive to advance refrigeration technology in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; relevant HVAC/R certifications considered.
• 2–7 years in a production/manufacturing-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo).
• Experience with Controls Integration, Design Validation and HVAC/R systems.
• Solid refrigerant knowledge and system design experience.
• Thermal analysis, heat load calculations, and compressor selection.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test refrigeration components and machinery.
• Apply engineering principles to refrigerators, air conditioners and related systems.
• Conduct thermal analysis and compressor selection activities.
• Ensure UL and regulatory compliance across designs.
• Create blueprints with SolidWorks/Creo and develop schematics.
• Collaborate with engineers and departments to improve products.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and provide production support.
• Stay updated on refrigeration tech and integrate findings.
