Job summary

Culpeper County Public Schools is seeking a Building Trades Teacher for HVAC and R specialty to deliver hands-on instruction and prepare students for NCCER certifications. You will ensure safe operation of equipment, align lessons with industry standards, and collaborate with high school counselors and community partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least two years in the building trades, and eligibility for Virginia DOE endorsements. Travel across division may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a field of education or equivalent credentialing/experience.
• Minimum two years of industry experience in building trades with OSHA Core Craft basics.
• Possess or qualify for a Virginia DOE license and endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study meeting student needs and abilities.
• Instruct classes regularly in designated locations/times.
• Create a classroom environment with active student engagement.
• Provide an instructional program to meet all students’ needs.
• Maintain records, safety, and compliance with OSHA 10 and NCCER.
