Act as the on‑site project leader to plan, execute, and successfully complete assigned projects while ensuring client satisfaction. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. Coordinate communication with customers throughout all phases of the project and manage the work of subcontractors.
Meet with clients to clearly define and document their requirements and expectations for each project.
Produce, review, and implement the necessary documentation including pre‑construction information, comprehensive schedules, work specifications, schematics, and drawings for each project’s tender submission.
Manage a portfolio of approved Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to project timelines throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee project cost procurement, conducting detailed analysis, appraisals, and budgeting to ensure financial targets are met.
Maintain proactive communication with clients, colleagues, and engage with specialized consultants as required to ensure project success.
Ensure that project timelines and milestones are agreed upon by both the client and the contractor prior to project initiation, updated as necessary, and diligently monitored to meet key deadlines.
Oversee the proper installation of M&E services, verifying that all work is completed according to the established specifications and standards.
Monitor working practices on‑site, manage contractors, and report any instances of non‑compliance to your line manager to facilitate prompt resolution.
Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Fire regulations, as well as company policies across all project activities.
Verify the receipt of all relevant certifications, correspondence, documents, drawings, and financial records are maintained for each project.
Provide technical support as needed to other departments within the organization to ensure project cohesion.
Conduct comprehensive project analysis and produce clear progress reports for management as required, facilitating informed decision‑making.
Understand and define the limits of the project scope of work, including the criteria for initiating a change order.
Knowledgeably identify the notice requirements for constructive changes, project delays, or acceleration needs throughout the project’s timeline.
Determine job pricing strategies (including fixed price, T&M, GMP, etc.) that align with project goals and client expectations.
Be familiar with project closeout requirements to ensure successful completion and client satisfaction.
Understand the terms outlined in the contract or performance period to maintain compliance and avoid disputes.
Comprehend the process for contract amendments and change orders as specified in the relevant agreement.
Conduct the pre‑job meeting effectively to ensure all team members understand project objectives and roles.
Invite all relevant project team members to the pre‑job meeting (including Operations Manager, Operations Reporting Controls, and Safety personnel).
Prepare and distribute an agenda prior to the pre‑job meeting to maximize productivity.
Review the minutes from the pre‑job meeting and circulate them to all attendees to ensure clarity on decisions made and actions assigned.
