Job summary

Tudi Mechanical Systems, represented by Yellowstone Local, seeks a skilled HVAC installer for commercial projects in Pittsburgh. You will read blueprints, install and wire HVAC equipment, and collaborate with the team to meet safety and quality standards.

You will handle sheet metal layout, rigging, and installation of pumps, chillers, and cooling towers, ensuring accurate, on-time project delivery. 2+ years of experience and HVAC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or HVAC/Refrigeration certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on commercial heating and air conditioning experience.
• Experience installing commercial HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical schematics.
• Knowledge of sheet metal layout and design.
• Familiarity with equipment rigging and installation of pumps, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Ability to perform HVAC control wiring tasks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Commitment to safe work practices, quality craftsmanship, and completing installations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal layout, design, and installation to support the construction of commercial HVAC systems.
• Handle equipment rigging and assist with the safe positioning and installation of large mechanical equipment.
• Install and set commercial HVAC equipment, including pumps, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and HVAC schematics to ensure accurate installations.
• Perform control wiring tasks as required for HVAC equipment installation.
• Support mechanical piping and equipment installation while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and apply practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Prepare and submit accurate job progress reports to communicate project updates.
• Coordinate with fellow installers and project team members to complete work efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized job site while following established installation procedures and safety requirements.
• Take ownership of your workmanship and help deliver commercial HVAC installations that meet project specifications.
