Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Project Engineer in Orlando, FL to drive successful HVAC projects from scope to delivery. You will liaise with customers, sales teams and manufacturing to resolve issues, prepare technical submittals, and ensure on-time ship dates while managing project financials and post-sale support.

The role requires a Engineering degree, 0–2 years experience (3+ preferred), and strong communication skills. In-office environment with opportunity for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of related experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in Commercial HVAC is preferred.
• Experience selecting equipment for customers is a plus.
• Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Visio a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the full scope of work is communicated, ordered and delivered.
• Serve as liaison between customer, sales and factories to troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate project timelines, schedules and ship dates to customers.
• Assess changes to project scope and implement them.
• Oversee project financials from job costing to invoicing.
• Provide technical support to sales for equipment selection and applications.
• Prepare professional submittal documents and track approvals to protect schedule.
• Respond promptly to sales inquiries on special applications and pricing.
