Job summary

The engineer will select components, create BOMs, assist Purchasing with supplier qualification, and guide wiring diagrams and testing prior to shipment, ensuring robust and efficient equipment delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and implement engineering projects for custom commercial HVAC equipment for industrial and commercial applications.
• Assist Sales with preliminary design, submittals and analysis of contractor’s/engineer’s technical specifications.
• Perform psychrometric analysis of design requests.
• Perform design/development tasks in the engineering and/or manufacturing area using CAD tools.
• Use in-house software for refrigeration system balance and operation.
• Select components to achieve design and prepare bills of materials for Purchasing.
• Assist Purchasing in supplier selection and qualification and procuring components.
• Develop unit sequence of operation and select DDC components to achieve sequence.
• Provide unit operation sequence to electrical for wiring diagrams.
• Prepare production instructions and provide engineering input for testing and shipment.
