Job summary

Daikin Applied in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the complete scope of work, ensuring accurate communication, ordering and delivery for customers. You will coordinate between customers, sales, and factories to troubleshoot and resolve technical questions and keep project timelines aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technical, or scientific field.
• 3+ years related work experience.
• Experience in HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work is communicated, ordered and delivered in full.
• Serve as the liaison between the customer, sales team and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues.
• Communicate project timelines, scheduling and required ship dates to the customer.
• Analyze changes to the project scope and implement them as required.
• Ensure accuracy of project financials from job costing through invoicing.
• Assist the sales team with technical expertise in product selection/applications.
• Create professional submittal documents and monitor approval processes.
• Provide prompt responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing.
• Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups for pre/post-sales support.
• Keep current on new products through training and meetings.
• Process and execute orders per drawings/specifications, manage post-sale activities through closeout.
• May assist with estimating and developing high-grade sales proposals from RFPs/RFIs.
