Job summary

Yearout Mechanical is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Representative to ensure HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems meet contract documents, codes, and company standards on mechanical construction projects in Texas and New Mexico.

The role requires reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating testing and commissioning, maintaining quality records, and collaborating with project teams to resolve issues and drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
• 7+ years of commercial or industrial mechanical construction experience.
• 3+ years in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or field leadership role.
• Experience with healthcare, laboratory, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or similar complex facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control & Inspections: develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans; review drawings and contract documents; conduct field inspections; verify compliance; identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions.
• Testing, Commissioning & Documentation: coordinate and witness testing; maintain logs and reports; document findings; support closeout activities.
• Project Coordination: collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, Owners, Architects; review shop drawings and BIM models; participate in coordination meetings.
• Continuous Improvement: identify recurring quality issues; support development of standards; assist with training and mentoring.
