Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a skilled HVAC Operating Engineer for the Resnick Mental Campus in Los Angeles. You will perform the full range of journey level maintenance and repair of building systems including HVAC equipment, emergency generators, medical air and vacuum equipment, and kitchen equipment, while coordinating with clinical and administrative staff to support hospital operations.

The position requires documenting preventative maintenance and engineering rounds to maintain licensure

Under the general direction of the Senior Superintendent, perform the full range of journey level functions of a HVAC Operating Engineer in the Resnick Mental Campus located in the Los Angeles Mil-Wilshire District. Buildings include an all-electric inpatient psychiatric hospital, an outpatient medical office building and a parking structure. Job duties include maintenance and repair of building equipment and infrastructure including HVAC equipment, emergency generators, sewer vacuum equipment, medical air and vacuum equipment, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, heat-recovery chillers, and more. Included in this job is documentation of preventative maintenance and engineering rounds critical to maintaining hospital license accreditation. Job requires working among patient, staff and visitors. Ability to maintain a level of professionalism a must. Additionally, incumbent may be assigned to alternate work schedules, including weekends.

Salary rate: $52.26
