Trane Technologies is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to advance HVAC product development through analysis, modeling, and software tool development. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or a Bachelor's with 3+ years HVAC modeling/analysis experience.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics applied to HVAC systems.
• Experience interpreting engineering data and performing accurate calculations from experiments or projects.
• Familiarity with experimental testing, instrumentation, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
• Basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C#, C/C++ or similar.
• Analytical problem-solving, clear communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Apply thermal-sciences and refrigeration-cycle fundamentals to evaluate HVAC performance.
• Develop and validate steady-state and transient models; compare with test data.
• Analyze laboratory data, compute performance metrics, and ensure unit consistency.
• Maintain and update engineering software with bug fixes and new features.
• Collaborate with lab, product, and software engineers; assist with documentation and releases.
