Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions and apply innovative thinking to your work.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset, capable of analyzing and solving mildly complex problems.
  • Sophisticated math skills, with the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain HVAC equipment within building guidelines to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine corrective actions, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and related electrical/plumbing components.
  • Perform assigned repairs, preventive maintenance, and maintain maintenance records; operate company vehicles as needed.
  • Apply in-depth HVAC knowledge to solve non-routine problems and optimize system performance.
  • Coach others, share knowledge across HVAC disciplines, and model CBRE RISE values in leadership and teamwork.
  • Explain complex information clearly to team members and clients to ensure understanding of solutions.

About the Role:

As a CBRE HVAC Mobile Engineer, you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at multiple facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine the best course of action for equipment modifications, and apply your expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
  • Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, while also completing maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Operate company‑issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
  • Apply an in‑depth knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish complex tasks and solve non‑routine problems.
  • Coach others and share your in‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
