Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC systems serviceman based in Harwood, ND, with extensive experience in residential, light commercial and heavy commercial markets.

The role involves maintaining, repairing and upgrading commercial HVAC systems, with company support including STA certification and a vehicle and tools to perform the job. Applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience, be able to pass required skill examinations, and hold EPA Universal Refrigerant

Work Location:
This role is based in Harwood, ND. While the official Johnson Controls office is located in Fargo, ND, day-to-day work will primarily take place in Harwood. We are also open to candidates residing in nearby areas such as Grand Forks, Fargo or Hillsboro.

Journeyman must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry.You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill.

Servicemen must have practical working experience in residential, light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.

Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification which is to be done after hours and weekends is required upon hire
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Refrigeration Certification preferred

Pay Range: $42.83 hourly ratedeterminedby the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
