Job summary

Johnson Controls in Fargo, ND is seeking an HVAC systems serviceman to support residential, light commercial and heavy commercial markets with advanced equipment.

Day-to-day work will be in Ellendale, with an official office in Fargo. Requirements include five years of experience, High School Diploma, OSHA 30 post-hire, EPA refrigerant certification, and strong communication skills; STA training and tools are provided.

Work Location: This role is based in

Aberdeen. Do you have HVAC experience? We are looking for HVAC systems serviceman who have worked in residential, light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our team to work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment.

Work Location: This role is based in Ellendale, ND. While the official Johnson Controls office is located in Fargo, ND, day-to-day work will primarily take place in Ellendale. We are also open to candidates residing in nearby areas such as Jamestown, Edgeley, Oakes or Aberdeen.

Journeyman must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry. You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a skilled HVAC systems serviceman who have worked in residential, light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our team to work the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment.

Servicemen must have practical working experience in residential, light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.

Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

Required

What we look for

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification which is to be done after hours and weekends is required upon hire
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Refrigeration Certification preferred

Pay Range: $42.83 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
