Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced HVAC & Mechanical Piping Estimator to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This full-time role focuses on delivering detailed cost estimates for HVAC and piping systems on construction projects, working closely with design and project management to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Ideal candidates will have strong estimation software proficiency, experience with BIM or traditional drawings, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial mechanical piping systems.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs using Revit, BIM models, or construction drawings.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Trimble Autobid Mechanical, QuoteSoft, FastPIPE, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical piping systems, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Analyze blueprints and construction drawings to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify issues and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and teams to develop project plans.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable prices and contracts.
• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to keep estimates competitive and accurate.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and proposals to clients and management.
