Job summary

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shop & HVAC Engineer to manage repairs and improvements for our luxury resort. You will ensure optimal operation of all mechanical/HVAC systems, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with multiple teams to keep the property running smoothly.

The role requires a strong background in HVAC/mechanical maintenance, building automation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school.
• At least three (3) years HVAC/mechanical experience for a large, luxury resort.
• Universal EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for total property mechanical and HVAC maintenance.
• Perform routine inspections of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Maintain equipment per manufacturer recommendations and safety protocols.
• Ensure tools and instruments used are in good working order; test when required.
• Maintain inventories of repair parts and supplies to minimize downtime and maximize cash flow.
• Keep logs and records up to date.
• Follow OSHA requirements for safety of team members and guests.
• Maintain MSDS sheets for liquids and chemicals used in HVAC & R.
• Act as a technical liaison for department’s mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Keep departments informed of projects and activities.
