Job summary

Power Design Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Mechanical Apprentice to join our growing HVAC team. You’ll work under the Mechanical Foreman to install equipment and ensure the highest quality service on our projects.

Responsibilities include installing HVAC equipment per manufacturer specs, using press systems to braze refrigerant lines, installing flex, duct board, and sheet metal ducts, inspecting systems for hazards, and coordinating repairs to maintain code compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of HVAC installation experience.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent; EPA certification a plus.
• Knowledge of IMC/SMACNA guidelines and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related equipment per specs.
• Use press systems to braze copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units.
• Install flex, duct board, and sheet metal duct systems in light commercial and multifamily buildings.
• Inspect systems for hazards and coordinate repairs to ensure code compliance.
• Advise Superintendents/Foremen of potential hazards to maintain site safety.
