Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is hiring an experienced HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and associated systems at the ASPC - Ft. Grant facility in Willcox, AZ.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, project planning, and oversight of inmate workers to ensure safe, efficient operations. Candidates must have HVAC certification, background checks, drug testing, and a medical/physical exam.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification at time of appointment.
• Two (2) years of work experience servicing, repairing, or installing cooling systems and refrigeration equipment.
• Four (4) years of journey-level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment including evaporative cooling, air conditioning, chiller units, walk-in freezers, heaters, and refrigerators.
• Plans maintenance-related projects, including pricing material lists and equipment needs.
• Inventories, inspects, and reports on tools and equipment; maintains records.
