Core Job Summary
The HVAC Mechanic, Licensed, troubleshoots and maintains heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in assigned facilities. They also maintain refrigeration systems, ensuring timely work to keep facilities secure and operational.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain records of work performed and pending, reporting regularly to management.
- Participate in HVAC or safety training; read prints, sketches, and diagrams.
- Estimate costs and report to management; keep work areas organized and safeguard tools and parts.
- Train staff on equipment maintenance and servicing.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of repair parts.
- Operate central chiller and air handling systems efficiently to ensure occupant comfort at minimal cost.
- Follow university policies and safeguard assets.

Core Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with preferred experience in centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, AC pumps, and building automation systems (BAS).
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to follow instructions accurately

Relevant education, certifications, or experience will be considered.
