Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking an HVAC Mechanic III to perform preventive and demand maintenance on the facility’s HVAC systems, ensuring reliability in clinical environments and compliance with hospital and regulatory codes.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, eight years of HVAC service experience, and Texas certifications such as ACR, HVCAWC, and STATENG1; hospital/building automation BAS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses/certifications listed must be current and valid in Texas.
• Eight years of experience as a HVAC service-related technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of HVAC and related systems.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments.

Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments.

• Required Licenses/Certifications
  • ACR - AC/Refrigeration Contractor by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation

  • STATENG1 - Stationary Engineer, 1st Grade by the City of Houston
• Required 8 years' experience as an HVAC service-related technician
• Preferred Hospital experience, high-rise HVAC systems experience, and Building Automation System (BAS) experience
