Job Overview

We are seeking an entry-level HVAC Mechanic to join our Facilities Management team in Florence. This full-time position involves maintaining and repairing building HVAC systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks listed in the competencies document, including installation, repairs, troubleshooting, planning, modifications, and calibration of HVAC&R systems and energy management systems.
• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, adhering to Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Log equipment performance readings and maintain detailed records of system repairs, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure the safe operation of HVAC&R equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and air handling units, following through with repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain fire-rated wall, ceiling, and floor penetrations with UL-rated firestop compounds.
• Monitor and document utility system performance and troubleshoot as needed.
• Review work orders daily, prioritize tasks, and document all activities comprehensively.
• Work under supervision to handle stressful situations and work various shifts, including weekends.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic proficiency in data entry and control diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record if operating company vehicles.
• EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification (may be obtained within 6 months of employment).
