Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking an HVAC technician to operate, maintain, diagnose and repair building HVAC systems on a campus site. The role requires hands-on skills in electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, brazing, and diagnostic work, with a focus on safety and log documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of campus HVAC experience and EPA 608 Universal Certification, plus a clean driving record. A 24/7/365 rotation is noted for scheduling.

Qualifications

• EPA Refrigerant license or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• 1–3 years of related HVAC experience in campus facilities (industrial or commercial).
• Competent electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, brazing, diagnostic, and mechanical abilities.

Responsibilities

• HVAC facility operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of commercial HVAC systems.
• Serve campus central plant for cooling/heating; experience with Central Plant systems is advantageous.
• Record maintenance logs and ensure safety, quality, housekeeping and security standards.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Advanced students of an Applied Technologies HVAC program.
• EPA Refrigerant License or ability to obtain within 1 year of being hired.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Ideally, you'll also have:
• Associate of Arts/Science degree achieved or achieving in HVAC/R technologies.
• 1 to 3 years of related HVAC experience in campus related areas of industrial or commercial HVAC work.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Show up at your scheduled shift and ready to work.

Responsibilities:

• This position involves HVAC facility operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a commercial facilities Air, Water and Building Automation Systems.
• The campus is primarily served by a Central Plant for campus Cooling and Heating requirements. Experience with these systems is advantageous.
• The candidate should have competent electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, brazing, diagnostic, and mechanical abilities.
• The candidate will adhere to site standards for safety, quality, housekeeping and security. They will be under direct supervision, utilizing standard HVAC testing equipment and tools.
• They will record pertinent information for equipment and systems maintenance logs.
• They will demonstrate the ability to identify the need for diagnosis and repair of all related equipment.
• They are expected to implement accepted trade practices consistent with HVAC industry standards.
• They will participate in operations, inspection and repair of equipment and systems.
• They are expected to perform all duties in accordance with company and site safety standards.
• This Position is subject to a trimester rotation of a 24/7/365 shift schedule.
