Major Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, repair, and monitor HVAC equipment including chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), pumps, motors, cooling towers, and energy management systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections regularly and document findings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to locate issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Requisition tools, materials, and supplies as needed through the purchase order system.

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train in other maintenance functions.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Materials and Equipment Used

Computer, DDC systems, meters, sensors, gauges, hand and power tools.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• HVAC Mechanic I: High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited HVAC/R Technician Training Program with at least 750 hours, or 3 years apprentice-level experience. Preferred.
• HVAC Mechanic II: High School Diploma or GED, minimum of 3 years experience.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Florida Driver's License (must obtain within 30 days if not already held), EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification (must obtain within 1 year).
