Job summary

Compass Pointe Consulting, LLC is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment at a new facility in Springfield, Virginia. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Full Scope Poly; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

On-site shifts run 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional on-call support. Duties include installing and troubleshooting systems, piping work, reading blueprints, and CMMS data entry.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Full Scope Poly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC.
• Proficiency with ASHRAE standards including ASHRAE 55, 62.1 and 180.
• CMMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment.
• Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems.
• Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Replacing components and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.).
• Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities.
• Maintaining air and water treatment systems.
• Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks.
• Reading blueprints, schematics, utility plans and wiring diagrams.
• Entering data into a CMMS system.

Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 hours per week). Operating hours on-site are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday; Shifts will consist of an 8-hour shift during those hours. On-call support will be required on an occasional basis.

Required Qualifications:
