HVAC Mechanic

Position Title: HVAC Mechanic

Location: Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY

Reports To: Project Manager

Summary:

We are seeking two (2) journeyman HVAC mechanics to provide maintenance and repair services for ventilation and air conditioning systems. One mechanic must be on-site during normal operating hours at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including associated controls and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Oversee operation of air conditioning equipment containing over 50 pounds of refrigerant.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a license from NYC, New York State, or New Jersey.
• OR have over 5 years of documented experience in ventilation, air conditioning, and associated controls work.
• Certificate of Qualification required for overseeing systems with more than 50 pounds of refrigerant.
