Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA seeks a skilled HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair HVAC/R systems across facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and install new HVAC/R systems under supervision.

• Under general supervision, perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment across facilities.
• Perform renovations and install new HVAC/R systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems.
• Maintain HVAC/R inventory; calibrate and functionally test equipment.
• Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment across facilities.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems.

We are searching for a talented HVAC Mechanic

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Flexible shifts and hours, 7:00am - 3:30pm, or as needed with weekend, holiday and on call rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee, perform routine predictive &preventive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and systems throughout the facilities. Perform renovations and install new HVAC/R systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems. Maintain HVAC/R inventory. Make repairs, calibrate and functionally test equipment and systems. Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Heating preferred.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Systems.
• Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, energy management systems and associated equipment.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
