Job summary

Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air is seeking a motivated HVAC Maintenance Technician in Sylva, NC to join a full-time team on the road. Earn $28.47–$39.49+ per hour with a base plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, disability, retirement, and vacation offerings.

In-house EPA prep and certification support are provided. Candidates must have at least 1 year of HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and be within 45 minutes of Sylva.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Familiar with diagnosis and repair of HVAC systems including heat pumps, air handlers, gas furnaces, ductless systems, ductwork, humidifiers and thermostats.
• Professional and positive communication with customers and coworkers.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Sylva, NC.
• EPA Certification to handle refrigerants (training offered in-house).
• Must be eager to earn and comfortable using iPad and dispatch software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as an HVAC Technician
• Must be familiar with Diagnosis and Repair of Heating & Air Conditioning systems including heat pumps, air handlers, gas furnaces, ductless systems, ductwork, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, thermostats and zone controls, etc.
• Must be professional and positive in communication - Happy customers and coworkers are your job as much as technical skills.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must live within 45 minutes of Sylva, NC
• Must have or be able to quickly obtain EPA Certification to handle Refrigerants (we offer in-house course prep and proctoring of Exam)
• Must have eager to earn, including the use of technology (iPad, Sophisticated dispatch software, etc)
