Job summary

The Pacific Club in Honolulu is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities comfortable, safe, and efficient. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, manage preventive maintenance, and work with vendors as needed.

We value teamwork and reliability, require EPA 608 certification and 3+ years of relevant experience, and offer competitive pay with excellent benefits. This is a hands-on role with some after-hours work in a premium community setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC, refrigeration, or related facilities maintenance experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using testing equipment and schematics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, refrigerant checks, component replacement, and calibration.
• Install replacement parts and new equipment per specifications and safety requirements.
• Maintain organized inventory of spare parts and recommend purchases.
• Ensure proper refrigerant handling and compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to maintenance requests and document completed work.
• Perform general facility repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, facilities, general maintenance, or a related field.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade-school training preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid Hawaii driver's license preferred.
