Job summary

Accelera in Toledo seeks a licensed HVAC specialist for our single-family rental properties. You will diagnose and repair residential systems, manage refrigerant tasks, and handle electrical/plumbing/ carpentry duties as needed, with work guided by routing software and independent scheduling.

You must hold an EPA Universal certification, have 3+ years of residential HVAC experience, own a truck/van with tools, and reside within commuting distance of Toledo. A background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Address issues with condensers, thermostats, blower motors, and electrical boards.
• Perform full system replacements and installations as needed.
• Support property needs with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance tasks.
• Complete property turns and make-ready tasks, including punch lists and renovations.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and vacancy checks.
• Document completed work with photos via mobile app; training provided.

Job description

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $26 to $35 per hour, including a guaranteed 40-hour work week, a mileage reimbursement of $0.76 per mile for your vehicle and fuel, and performance-based quarterly bonuses.

Your Role

As the primary HVAC specialist for our single-family rental properties in the Toledo area, you will operate with the autonomy of a business owner. You will manage your daily schedule through our routing software, receiving work orders directly to your mobile device to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently without constant oversight or the need for repeat visits.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, split systems, and mini-splits to ensure comfort for our residents.
• Manage refrigerant tasks such as leak identification, recovery, and system charging in compliance with EPA 608 standards.
• Address issues with condensers, thermostats, blower motors, and electrical boards to maintain system functionality.
• Execute full system replacements and installations as required.
• Support the team by handling various electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance tasks to ensure all property needs are met.
• Complete property turns and make-ready tasks, including punch lists and minor renovations, to prepare units for new occupants.
• Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, as well as routine vacancy checks, to help maintain property standards.
• Utilize our mobile application to document all completed work with photos, with full training provided upon hire.

Requirements

• Possess an EPA Universal certification.
• Demonstrate at least three years of professional experience in residential HVAC repair and diagnostics.
• Maintain your own reliable truck or van and a set of hand tools, for which we provide mileage and tool reimbursement.
• Hold a valid driver's license and reside within a commutable distance of Toledo.
• Pass a background check and remain physically capable of working in attics, crawlspaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced plumbing tasks like water heaters and drain clearing.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in high-volume single-family rental property maintenance.
• NATE certification.
