Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Installation Projects - Take ownership of residential HVAC system installations (central AC, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits), ensuring work meets quality, safety, and code standards
2. Mentorship & Team Leadership - Supervise and guide HVAC installers and apprentices, ensuring productivity and skill development
3. System Startup & Testing - Perform and oversee startup and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction
4. Customer Interaction - Act as the primary on-site contact for homeowners; communicate timelines, answer questions, and provide education on system operation
5. Low Voltage Wiring & Troubleshooting - Lead the setup, connection, and testing of low voltage controls and thermostats
6. Job Documentation & Reporting - Complete and verify all job-related paperwork, including installation records and material usage
7. Worksite Management - Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe from start to finish
8. Safety & Compliance - Enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local code regulations
9. Logistics & Equipment Handling - Coordinate and participate in loading, unloading, and transporting equipment to job sites

Qualifications

1. Experience - Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC installation experience, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
2. Technical Expertise - Deep knowledge of HVAC systems, low voltage wiring, and airflow principles
3. EPA Certification - Type II or Universal certification required
4. Leadership Skills - Proven ability to lead a crew and complete jobs efficiently and professionally
5. Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces
6. Communication - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
7. Driver’s License - Valid license with a clean driving record
