About This Role

The HVAC Lead Install Technician oversees the installation, upgrade, and replacement of HVAC systems in residential properties. This role involves leading a team of technicians to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery, handling complex installations, providing technical expertise, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, managing customer interactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician also manages inventory and contributes to team training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and replace HVAC systems in residential homes with precision.
  • Cut, thread, and connect pipes (copper or PVC) and handle high and low voltage wiring.
  • Train and mentor Install Helpers on job sites and in the shop.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with homeowners.
  • Handle physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving objects over 50 pounds.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and the vehicle in an organized, clean condition.
  • Perform work safely at heights, in tight spaces, and under various weather conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to appliance standards, OSHA regulations, and service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of HVAC experience, preferably in residential settings.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
  • EPA certification for environmental compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to high-quality work.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Professional interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible, innovative, and collaborative.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, and using hand tools.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform physical tasks as described.
