Job summary

Lennox International is seeking an HVAC Lab Technician to support mechanical engineers in planning and testing components and assemblies. This 2nd shift role (2pm - 10:30pm) focuses on testing prototypes, fabricating parts, and documenting results to guide engineering decisions.

The candidate will review instructions, prepare cost estimates, and help set project timelines. A high school diploma is required; a 2-year degree is preferred, with at least 5 years experience in related work.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for production of precision plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan fabrication requirements, as well as assembly and testing requirements.

  • Help prepare proposals and cost estimates.
  • Assist in establishing work load completion dates.

What Drives Success

As an HVAC Lab Technician, you will assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.

**This is a 2nd shift position (2pm - 10:30pm)**

What We Are Looking For
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two year degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 5 years related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
What We Offer

Compensation:This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $60,800 - $79,800 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for abonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
