Job summary

Duravent Group is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Innovation Center in Grand Rapids, MI. This full-time, hourly, in-person role supports testing, development, and documentation of procedures for HVAC venting products.

You will prepare samples, set up equipment, collect data, troubleshoot issues, and deliver clear technical reports. Collaboration with North American Engineering ensures testing aligns with product development priorities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering tech or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with CREO and AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and follow test procedures for product performance and installation evaluations.
• Set up and execute lab tests to measure airflow and performance characteristics.
• Test HVAC components and venting products in a controlled lab environment.
• Collect, organize, and analyze test data; prepare clear test reports with conclusions and next steps.
• Partner with engineers to build future test plans for new product development and validation.
• Assist with prototype builds, sample preparation, fixture setup, and instrumentation.
