Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks an experienced HVAC service technician in Pasadena, TX, to perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration services.

You will work from plans and blueprints, execute PM and repair tasks, and ensure safety standards while supporting on-call shifts for emergency responses. The role requires five+ years in HVAC, a valid CFC Universal Certification, and the physical ability to handle ladders, confined spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years' experience in the HVAC service field.
• Must have CFC Universal Certification.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of maintenance fundamentals to handle service and repairs.
• Physically able to perform maintenance tasks including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration service work including PM and Repair in a truck route environment.
• Plan, select, and lay out materials for service and repair work.
• Work from drawings, blueprints, or verbal instructions using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Respond to alarm calls during off-hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Maintain safety, adhere to company policies, and participate in on-call rotations.

What you will do

• Operating at a journeyman level, performs a variety of complex services in specialized building system areas such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC and Refrigeration including maintenance, repair, and operation.
• Performs a variety of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration service work including PM and Repair, in a truck route service environment covering a portfolio of buildings for a single client.
• Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.
• Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and equipment incidental to operations.
• Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Requires off-hour on-call and emergency response.

What we look for

• Five or more years' experience in the HVAC service field.
• Must have CFC Universal Certification.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
• Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
• Must be able to respond to alarm calls during off-hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and will be required to pass a background check.
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.

Pay Range: $40.25 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
