KBR, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Mechanic Journeyman to perform preventive maintenance and repair on a range of heating, piping, and HVAC systems. The role requires state licensure and union membership, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

The successful candidate will operate within 50 miles of Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, and participate in ensuring reliable building systems and compliance with industry standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school credits may count towards experience.
• Steam Fitter Journeyman certification required.
• Maryland HVAC Journeyman license required.
• UA Local 486 union membership or willingness to join.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• EPA Universal Section 608 certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC systems and components.
• Maintain and repair piping systems using steel, copper, and PVC.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Diagnostics and repairs on pumps, air separators, expansion tanks, air handlers, coils, and related components.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance during maintenance work.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs and following verbal/written instructions.
