Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical certification in HVAC, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
• 7–9 years minimum; 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in HVAC, instrumentation, electrical systems, or a combination thereof.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment (air handlers, RTUs, chillers, split systems, exhaust and ventilation).
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues; optimize performance for energy efficiency and reliability.
• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation (pressure/temperature/flow/level).
• Troubleshoot PLC and process control systems; read schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Support electrical systems up to facility voltage; perform preventive maintenance.

The HVAC & I&E Technician is responsible forthe installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of HVACsystems, process instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systemsthroughout the facility. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficientplant operations by ensuring critical equipment, automation systems, andenvironmental controls operate within established parameters. The technicianworks closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to maintainregulatory compliance, system reliability, and continuous improvementinitiatives.

Essential Function

• HVAC Systems
• Install, maintain,troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment,including:
  • Air handlers
  • Rooftop units
  • Chillers
  • Split systems
  • Exhaust andventilation systems
  • Environmentalcontrol units
• Perform preventiveand predictive maintenance activities on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnosemechanical, electrical, and controls-related HVAC issues.
• Monitor andoptimize HVAC performance to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
• Maintaintemperature, humidity, and ventilation systems for process and personnelcomfort requirements.
• Instrumentation and Controls
• Install,calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation including:
  • Pressuretransmitters
  • Temperaturetransmitters
  • Flow meters
  • Level instruments
  • Analyticalequipment
• Troubleshoot PLCand process control systems.
• Configure andmaintain instrumentation communication networks.
• Verify instrumentaccuracy and perform loop checks.
• Analyze equipmentfailures and recommend corrective actions.

Electrical Systems

• Troubleshoot andrepair industrial electrical systems up to facility voltagerequirements.
• Read and interpretelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipmentmanuals.
• Perform preventivemaintenance on electrical assets.

General Maintenance

• Perform routineinspections and document findings.
• Complete workorders and maintenance records utilizing a computerized maintenancemanagement system (CMMS).
• Support equipmentstartups, shutdowns, and plant turnarounds.
• Participate inroot cause failure analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Assist withcapital projects, equipment upgrades, and system modifications.
• Maintainhousekeeping and organization of work areas.

Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all companysafety policies, procedures, and permit requirements.
• Adhere to OSHAregulations, NFPA standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and confined spacerequirements.
• Utilize properpersonal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate insafety meetings, audits, and training programs.
• Report unsafeconditions and corrective actions promptly.
