Job summary

West Georgia Technical College seeks an Air Conditioning Instructor to deliver theory and lab instruction for the Air Conditioning Technology program. The role includes day, evening, and online formats for traditional and dual-enrolled students at Carroll Campus, with transfer to Coweta-Central upon lab completion.

The position requires a Diploma in Air Conditioning Technology, 3 years in-field experience, EPA 608, and a valid driver's license, with preferred credentials including HVAC

Qualifications

• Diploma in Air Conditioning Technology or related diploma/degree.
• Three (3) years of in-field experience in the past five years.
• EPA 608 Certification and valid driver’s license.
• Alternate Industry Certifications: HVAC Excellence, NATE, RES, GCILB Conditioned Air.

Responsibilities

• Instructs theory and practical applications of Air Conditioning Technology.
• Instructs face-to-face, hybrid, or on-campus courses as needed.
• Evaluates student progress and grades coursework in a timely manner.
• Maintains program certification/accreditation requirements as appropriate for the teaching discipline.
• Develops program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and learning outcomes; submits reports to program director.
• Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts and supports budget requests.
