JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing high‑quality instruction in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC) related courses while supporting student success, academic excellence, workforce development, and community engagement across the College’s service district. The successful candidate will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction, develop and maintain curriculum aligned with current industry standards, integrate emerging HVAC technologies and certifications into instruction, and foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The qualifications and skill requirements for the position include:
Associate degree or a career certificate in HVAC, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of documented work experience in the HVAC industry required.
Valid industry credential or licensure required, including one or more of the following:
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical controls, troubleshooting, safety procedures, and industry‑standard tools and equipment.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with instructional technology and software applications including Microsoft Office, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and learning management systems.
Ability to teach day, evening, online, and hybrid courses as assigned.
All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
